Floptilla" RIB Rally
Morning folks, well we reached the middle of the week, only a couple of days to go till you can get back out on the RIB at the weekend.
If you cant wait till Saturday and are in the Isle of White area why not join the guys from the rib.net forum for their Third Anual “Floptilla” RIB Rally scheduled for Friday 22nd July to Sunday 24th July 2011.
The “Floptilla” Rib Rally envolves a channel crossing from the Isle of Wight to Alderney. The crossing involves 60 nauticle miles of Ribbing from the Needles SWM to Braye Harbour on Alderney. Alderney is the third largest of the Channel Islands measuring 3.5 by 1.5 miles.
Speeds will vary with the conditions on the day but you should be confident that your boat can cruise at speeds in excess of 25kn in good weather.
